Until recently, robots have been a thing of science fiction - now there are robot waiters in japan and even robot dogs! Robots are used in manufacturing, space exploration and transport already, with plans being made for robot surgeons with the NHS. This form of artificial intelligence is a computer programmed machine able to carry out complex movements automatically. Although they come with many practical uses there are concerns that robots will decrease human job prospects, and some believe they are not to be trusted.
